About Me
Dr. Claudia K-Ackah
CRNP-PMH
I am a seasoned Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a focus on psychopharmacology, consultation, and a comprehensive grasp of psychiatric practices. My expertise extends to conducting therapeutic and educational groups, demonstrating the ability to make critical clinical decisions independently. With knowledge of community resources for mental health and substance abuse, I am dedicated to providing holistic care across the lifespan.
In my current role at New Beginnings Healthcare since January 2019, I specialize in meticulous medication management for psychiatric patients. Previous experiences at Catholic Charities, Human Services Inc., and Johns Hopkins Hospital equipped me to serve diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, as well as underprivileged individuals with dual diagnoses.
My academic background includes a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Walden University, a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Johns Hopkins University. I hold additional honors, including membership in The National Society of Leadership and Success and recognition on the Dean's List at Johns Hopkins University and the National Dean's List at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County).

Beyond clinical work, my proficiency in research automation, including HTML, Netscape, Explorer, Microsoft Word, and databases like PubMed and Medline, reflects my commitment to staying abreast of advancements in psychiatric care.
